Steady and Unsteady Flows in Compressors and Turbines
The area of steady and unsteady flows in compressors and turbines covers all the department's research activities in the field of:
- Active and passive flow control
- Detailed investigation of loss reduction
- Analysis of flow instabilities
- Optimization of air sealing in high pressure turbines
- Evaluation of multi-row blade concepts to increase the working range
The experimental investigations are carried out at low speed and high speed test facilities.
