Whole Engine Aspects of Gas Turbines Including Secondary Systems, Operation and Controls
The simulation of whole engine behavior is a key element in the chair’s research. Activities and interests within this area are focused on
- Fully integrated component zooming
- Evaluation of component deterioration
- Assessment of new gas turbine engine concepts
- Transient simulation
- Engine control
Simulations on synthesis models of gas turbines are mainly performed with the performance code GTlab.
